    The National Dance Education Organization points out that preschoolers learn best through movement, because it makes new subjects more concrete for young minds. Dance enhances sensory awareness, boosting your child’s memory and ability to concentrate. Because it is a pre-verbal form of expression, dance can help with early reading and writing. For example, creative movement can make new vocabulary words easier to remember. Rhythm and counting make dancing an excellent activity for introducing new math concepts.

  • Social & Emotional Skills

    Physical activities such as dancing promote healthy social skills and self-esteem. Dance encourages positive social encounters with peers and teachers. This builds social skills like teamwork, communication, trust and respect for others. Kids learn self awareness and how to express emotions appropriately through creative movement. Learning just a few easy steps can lower performance anxiety, so your child may feel more confident participating in group activities or giving a presentation.

  • Physical Fitness

    The American Academy of Pediatrics recently reported that over half of U.S. kids don’t get enough physical activity, and that young children in particular get less exercise than older kids. Dance makes moving fun and promotes healthy motor skill development, like range of motion, coordination, strength, endurance, good posture, and balance.

  • What is June’s Academy of Ballet?

    June’s Academy of Ballet is a multifaceted dance program offering online, in-studio, and mobile ballet classes for children. We focus on self-love, discipline, and creativity through the art of ballet.

  • What ages does the program serve?

    Our program is designed for children ages 3–8, with a focus on introducing foundational ballet techniques and fostering confidence and self-expression! Twinkling Stars (3-4), Shining Stars (5-6), and Shooting Stars (7-8). Age ranges will be expanded as the years progress!

  • What makes your program unique?

    We’re the only preschool dance program offering a combination of online, in-person, and mobile classes. We also integrate self-love affirmations into every lesson to empower children emotionally and spiritually. I AM GRACEFUL! I AM STRONG! I AM BALANCED! I AM PRETTY / HANDSOME! I AM IMPORTANT!   • What is the enrollment process?

    Enrollment is simple! Visit our website, select your preferred program (online, in-studio, or mobile). Online enrollment is hosted on the home site. You will be directed to a third party site for in-studio and mobile experiences enrollment!

  • How do online classes work?

    Our virtual classes are designed with a fun, children’s TV-show format to engage young dancers. Families receive access to an online portal and a ballet bag with supplies upon registration.

  • What technology is required for online classes?

    A computer, tablet, or smartphone with internet access is all you need to participate in our online classes.

  • Can I register for online classes year-round?

    Yes! Online classes are ongoing, available to enroll at any time, and can be accessed annually, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

  • How will we receive our complimentary ballet box?

    Upon sign up, you will be asked to provide your shipping address and this is where you will receive your welcome ballet box! Make sure that information is correct! For additional Welcome Bags, please email us a brief description and we will get you all set up.

  • Where are your in-studio classes held?

    Our in-studio classes are held on Saturday mornings at a local metro Atlanta location. Details are provided upon registration.

  • What are mobile classes?

    Mobile classes bring the magic of ballet directly to preschools and childcare centers in metro Atlanta, offering convenience for families and enrichment for schools.

  • How can my child’s preschool partner with June’s Academy of Ballet?

    Preschool directors can contact us to set up a partnership and bring weekly ballet classes directly to their facility.

FAQs: Recitals, Events, and Partnerships

  • Do students perform in recitals?

    Yes! We host a recital at the end of each season to showcase our students’ growth and give them a chance to shine on stage. This offering is for in studio and mobile enrichment students. Choreography videos will be uploaded to the online portal for online students who wish to travel to Atlanta to be apart of the festivities.

  • Are costumes included in the recital fee?

    Yes! Recital costumes are included in the recital fee, as well as a complimentary photograph and a video clip of students' recital performance. We provide affordable options to make participation accessible for all families.

  • How can sponsors get involved in your recitals?
